New Software - SURFER 19.1.189

I have purchased a single - license education surfer for my class in UKM.  Surfer is a contouring and 3D surface mapping software program that runs under Microsoft Windows. The Surfer software quickly and easily converts your data into outstanding contour, surface, wireframe, vector, image, shaded relief, and post maps.

Just downloaded and purchased one single license of Surfer Software (20/09/2020)

Surfer is capable to plot 3-D surface elevation and topography

Contaminant transport modeling (animation) using Modflow Flex 6.1

This animation shows chloride movements in sandy aquifer after 20 years.  It moves in a distance of 140 m from its source (i.e. leachate treatment pond).

Groundwater Modeling Using Modflow Flex

Visiting National Museum of Natural History in Washington DC

I had the opportunity to visit National Museum of Natural History in Washington D.C on October 12, 2019.  It was actually part of my trip attending ASTM Workshop in Philadelphia.  I spent a whole day exploring several museums in D.C.  The National Museum of Natural History is a natural history museum administered by the Smithsonian Institution. I shared here some good photos of some specimens showing at this Museum.  Worth a visit if you had the opportunity to come here one day.

Attending MODFLOW FLEX Workshop at Delft, Netherland.

Visual MODFLOW FLEX groundwater modeling software is the industry standard for simulating groundwater flow and contaminant transport.  I have been using the old Visual MODFLOW PRO software since 2004.   The new Visual MODFLOW FLEX was first introduced in December 2016 by Waterloo Hydrogeologic.  This new software has a different interface and so much different to the old version of Visual Modlfow Pro.   Hence, I have decided to learn this software by attending a 3-day workshop hosted and organised by Waterloo Hydrogeologic and VanEssen Instruments in Delft, Holland from September 25-27th, 2019.

Participants in the workshop came from various countries  from Asia, Europe and United States.
