High risk for disaster - a time bomb!

this photo was captured in Batu Caves, Selangor. Look how close is the apartment to the limestone hill. It is one of the examples of how poor is our management systems. People who live in the apartment are at risk. Anything can happen, only time will tell.

A fault plane (major discontinuity) is seen here just behind the apartment. High potential for rockfall or toppling. Who should be responsible to warn the public that the place is not safe?.Hyogo Framework for Action (HFA): Disasters can affect everyone, and are therefore everybody's business. Disaster risk reduction should be part of every-day decision-making: from how people educate their children to how they plan their cities. Each decision can make us either more vulnerable, or more resilient.
